stripping my car
I am going to paint my car on friday, so i started taking off the trim etc. and have a few questions.
I took all of the door seals off, are those hard to get back on?
how do you take the drivers and passengers windows off?
ill probably have some more questions later
thanks

How would that put the window off track? The only thing I can think of that keeps the window "on track" would be the run channel (outlines the inner door frame), guide channel (inside door shell, keeps window on track).

bad idea to use plastic...when you pull the plastic off the paint will flake off the plastc and stick to the car. go with the blue painters paper.

In any case the windows should be fairly easy to take out. There should be 2, 10mm bolts through the window (where the window is seated in the regulator). Remove those 2 bolts (don't drop them in the door) then slide the window out slowly. If there are no bolts, then there may be some sort of clip holding the window in the regulator.
its the plastic lining that goes along the sides of the metal, where the edge of the window would be touching the part where the door hinge is, and the part close to the latch
if its still confusing I can take pictures
but, ill try to get the windows out, will i need to take the plastic lining off the door panels, and if so, should I get a new seal to put back on?
