The tech's are "bitches" because you can smell your catalytic convertor ...?

Well all I know is I have seen a few customers come in complaining about a similar smell and it is usually the cat or exhaust. Have not seen any cases of belts slipping or shifting.
TRE may have while he was working with honda, but nothing here at my dealer.

What makes you think that the "belts" are slipping? Just the smell coming from under the hood?

Not once did I see anything similar... and most Honda/acura dealerships across the country have qualified and competent technicians who diagnose and fix cars for a living so i for one can trust their judgment.
I just get tired of reading all these BS threads like "Oh this DBW is horrible, stupid Honda wont reflash my **** dogg", "my third gear sucks when i cant drive, what a pos" "my gas pedal makes a faint click when i press on it" "my car smells funny sometimes" "something under the hood sounds like a UFO and the retards at Honda wont do anything"
some people are being overly paranoid and critical IMO. Granted there are some small issues and yes from time to time a tech can mis-diag something but if you take your car in for a complaint and the service department says its normal, then it probably is!
