OK so yesterday i was driving down the inerstate and my timeing belt brke when i was doing 70 mph i luckily coasted to an offramp and a advanced auto parts wa right there.... i gota timing belt set the timeing best i could on the side of the inerstate "i have no timing belt sheild so it was easy to get on" it ran decent not perfect so i firgured it was outa time some because it was running good just not with alot of power and when u hit high rpms it sounded like it was growling outa time so tryed setttin the time a little more tryed everything and it wont run worth **** sounds like its missing but its not back fires and everything else what could it be ?????? its a d16z6 in crx it has the crx si distributor on it and i had to rig it to make ti work so there not much ajustment to it when i put thte timing light on it its showing dead at 0............. do u think it bent a valve"?????? or did i foul a plug out? and thats why its runin like total ****? my bigest problem is im 100 miles fom a home cause i work 100 miles away one way so im stayin ata freind house for a few days hoping to et it going so i dont have to tow it also if its a valve will a d16y7 valve fit in the place ona d16z6 engine head? because i have a spar y7 head unlesss i can find out at the local u pull it center and grab one plz help guys thanks
do a compression test to be sure...but more than likely, your valves are bent..but could be just one or two...good luck to you.

You may have bent valves. Like the previous poster said, Compression test that thing. If your compression test says unusually low compression in one cylinder, pull those valves and compare them with the Y7 valves.
I am not sure if all the D series valves are the same, or if the vtec and non vtec valves are different. Some measurements with a good micrometer will tell you if the valves are the same though.
