Default aftermarket foglight aiming question

ok guys i know how to aim the fog lights, there is 1 screw that adjusts the height on them so the problem is not how to aim them.

I have depo or some other aftermarket foglight as well as an aftermarket front bumper.

my passenger side foglight is fine, but the drivers side foglight points straight to the ground.

i adjusted the light all the way up and it didnt help too much.

since both the bumper and fogs are aftermarket i expected some trouble, but i was wandering if anyone has had this issue before and fixed it? or any other idea on what i could do.

all ideas welcomed

I'm not certain how they're mounted in your bumper, but would it be possible to shim the bottom mounting point with some washers or spacers until it is brought within spec?

ive been thinking on shimming it. but would i shim the foglight housing itself (in the bracket) or shim the bracket (where they screw on to the rear of the bumper)

i dunno if the second option would be strong enough, or if the first option is even possible.

It would be easier if I were able to see exactly how they're mounted, but basically you just want to bring the bottom of the lamp out a bit. You can most likely space the fog lamp in the bracket, the bracket against the bumper, or a combination of both. Just make sure your screws are long enough, and if not, pick up some longer replacements.
