Default Bodykit and Bondoing Question.

Hello,
I'm new around here and I had a few questions. I just bought a 95 honda civic dx off a guy. The car is fully primered and came with a body kit. the body kit under the front lights of the car doesn't fit exactly right there is a small gap around the headlights (about a half inch gap around the bottom). I bought some aftermarket clear corners and when I tried to install them they wouldn't right because the bodykit didn't allow them to fit exactly. I think if i modify the bodykit slightly to the shape of the clear corners it should fit. Does anyknow know how I could fill in the gap if i made a hole? I bought a bondo kit but not sure how to add on to fiberglass.. I know you can patch holes easy but how do you add on to it? What would you suggest doing cutting a hole out of the fiberglass to make my clear corners fit? The car has not been painted yet so im still in the modification process. Your imput would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

installing fiberglass bodykits is a waste of time and money, especially with bondo. most people laff at bodykits but, if youre going to do one, get a wings west or something made out of polyurethane.

im not exactly a professional here but im pretty sure mine is fiberglass, I don't know what body style the body kit is but it was already installed. I like the one that is on there it looks good, just needs a paint job and some work done. The body kit is all primered up and the car has been bondo up so the car and bodykit are a smooth transision. I will post some pictures later on today.

2 suggestions

1) This forum is for 1984-1991 Civics and CRXs. If you have a 95, your forum is 92-2000
2) Ask any body kit questions in Appearance/Cosmetic, these forums are for technical questions.

My $0.02? Rip that junk off the car and put some OEM parts on it. Body kits *never* line up rigth and will crack and flex, especially fiberglass.

Either bring it to a bodyshop and have them do it b4 you ***** it up more...or get rid of the fiberglass all together.
