a little noise coming from rear end on my '02...
It's almost like a rubbing noise, not like tire rubbing but a muffled sound. It never started until a week or 2 after i put on my new wheels and tires. It only does it when i'm going slow and turning fairly tight and in reverse it does it a lil as well. I'm just wondering if it's normal with the larger tires (245-40-17) having more grip and strain the rear end a lil more or what. i'll be changing the fluid this weekend so maybe that'll help.
Thanks guys!!
oh, diff then that last question but does anybody else have a little engine stumbling problem occasionally when starting out from a stop? i get it sometimes, but it's rare.

if it isnt rubbing of the tires you think its your diff??
you said it started after replacing the rims/tires... put your stocks back on and see if you hear it...
are you lowered?

i'm thinking it's the diff. but would rather not assume and see what others think. Nope, it's not lowered, the only mod done to the car is wheels and tires. I'll try my stock wheels tonight. If it helps, i have around 51k on it.
The only time they rub is on big bumps or if i push it and load the suspension real good. It's rubbing on the lip inside the fender well. That's the only place it's rubbing and i just have to roll the lip to fix that.
