Stripped Rear LCA bolt
Well I was doing my suspension last night on my civic, and I accidently stripped the lower bolt that holds the strut on in the rear. I need idea's on what to do. Please help I dont have much money left from buying my motor, so as cheap as possable would be helpful.

Man that sucks, it is either drill it out or get one at the junk yard. That is about all I can say man. That sucks a big one. I would attempt to get it out. Will it still spin? If so you might be about to turn it and have someone tap the other side to move it out. You will have to get creative, I would like to know if it is the bolt of the threads that are stripped.
If the bolt is still stuck in there and the head is ruined, grind off the surface and weld on a new nut to be able to remove it (make sure you are trying to remove the bolt not the nut eh). Get a new bolt from honda or a wrecking yard (make sure it's a honda bolt).
If the nut that's on the other side snaps and starts to spin, when you reasemble it tack weld it back on. It happened to me. My bolt was so stuck it snapped half way thru. I unbolted all the suspension and grinded the welded nut off to get the bolt out. A new honda bolt fixed it for me with retacking the nut on the other side.

None. I bought my engine with bolts already f-ed up on it. And when I lowered my car I had the 'this bolt is 275000kms old and has seen 17 canadian winter' syndrome. If he fucked his up, what's so bad about ******* mine up? It seems to be a common issue with old suspension. My bolt was actually seized in my bushing liner.

but its a pain

Slow speed and a good carbide drill should do it. It's all in the quality of the drill and the speed it's turning at. I got one from work and it just ate a hole in a grade 8 bolt.

This just happened to me last weekend. A little drilling and a little heat and you can get it out. I ended up drilling out the center which seemed to allow it to decompress some. Gave it a few wacks after heating it up and it came out. When it comes to stuck, stripped, or snapped bolts,...you've just gotta be resourceful and creative.
Speaking of creative...I didn't have a torch...just a space heater.

Add a little WD40...that's creative!
