How do I tighten timing belt? Pics?
I am a newb.
So I had my supercharger installed and weeks later I start hearing this loud screeching noise from the engine when I start the motor. Before, the screeching would go away after a few seconds, but now it will not go away.
I spoke to several people, and showed my father as well. They told me that it is the alternator belt. I reach in to give it a tug, and discover that it is loose. In fact, when I tug it hard, the alternator moves too.
The alternator seems to be deep in the engine bay, and it doesn't help to have that bracket from the supercharger in the way. Can someone direct me specifically to the bolt that allows me to tighten the belt? Which way is the bolt facing? Is it accessible from on top or underneath.
Pics would be helpful too. I tried searching but couldn't find any, assuming because it's such a newb question.
The car is a '95 LS
Thanks.
