Viper or clifford. Both are the same thing. Or you can look into compustar. Stick with a name brand so you do not have to have all the problems that cheaper unit will give you.

well the installer wants to go with audiovox, but i want to go with viper bc of the quality. she's told me that audiovox is more lenient just incase something goes bad and viper is a little more strict on that type of stuff and is only based in CA.

she's said that audiovox pretty much offers anything other alarms have and is the same thing really, brand name or not.

but i've made my mind up on viper, now i just need a model number.

Audiovox makes a pretty good product, very dependable, and with the same kind of features and technology, [in one form or another] as all the brand name alarms, Audiovox is a brand name product IMO, they have been around longer then DEI has been buying everything else in sight.
With that said, DEI also makes a very good dependable product, as does Compustar.

Any alarm or alarm/remote combo unit from any of the above 3 is a good choice.
Whatever you decide to get, get it from an authorized dealer.

I would install a Compustar on my 94LS if I had to replace the Alpine SEC-8048 that's in there now. 94
