EG/EJ Speedo cluster questions........
I have a 1995 Civic EJ1 coupe.
With an EG/EJ speedo cluster, it is possible to convert the backlighting to amber without actually getting a JDM cluster?
I've had my speedo cluster apart many times and see that the bulbs have the blue translucent rubber covers on them. Can one directly buy the amber translucent rubber covers?
Also, I've seen 3 versions of the JDM EG speedo cluster:
1) White faces, KM/H, red lit needles, amber backlighting, 8200 RPM redline
2) Black faces, KM/H, red lit needles, amber backlighting, 7200 RPM redline
3) Black faces, KM/H, white non-lit needles (USDM style), amber backlighting, 7200 RPM redline
Did they ever make a version of speedo cluster #1 with white faces AND MP/H?
How the red needles light up? Can those red needles be transplanted to a USDM cluster and still light up?
Is a JDM speedo cluster directly a plug and play affair into a USDM car or do you have to resplice any wires?

The only amber condoms available from Honda are for the climate controls bulbs, which are not the same bulbs as the cluster bulbs.

Nope

Light shines through the center hole of the gauge where the needle pin sticks through, and the light illuminates the transparent needle. And yes, although I don't recommend pulling off the needles.
