Car is primed...worried about leaving it that way
Hey I'm wondering if it is safe to leave my car primered...it's black and I'm planning on painting it black...I just don't know when...so my question is should I leave it primered...or get some cans of black enamel to give it a protective coat?
Thanks...although I'm not
it's humid here and I don't want a bunch of bugs to get stuck on my front bumper and then not come off...

Since primer does not seal against moisture, don't drive it in the rain!!!! If that's not a problem, then yes, you can drive it without worry. IMO.
the primer I have is rust resistant...which I'm sure doesn't mean waterproof...but I'll hold until I get it painted...

It depends on what type of primer you used. If it's laquer (which I would never use) It's not going to hold up in the rain. If it's a 2K 2 part primer, you'll be fine. To make it simple, if it came out of a spray can, it's garbage.
its all good dude! jus leave it primered till u can afford the real deal...my car is primered white, and will be gettin a white paint job when i gets the money....but i heard that primer absorbs moisture, and may cause rust, but my cars been ok for now for about 3 months now, jus as long as u wet sanded the last layer of that primer off and leave it smooth...well, i dunno if that helps, but itll do fine till the mean times!...
....i guess
