Default Battery died while driving

My 89 crx si died on me while driving. The battery light has been on for a couple days prior but the battery is only 4 months old. I got a jump and the car started right up. I dont know if its because the battery conectors are loose and semi corroded or my alternator is going out on me. I charged the battery and the car ran fine but the battery light still comes on. ANY info would be a great help.

sounds like your alternator isnt charging the battery. If you feel it will make it take your car to Auto Zone or similar place and have them test your alternator and battery. If it wont make it just pull the alternator off the car and take it in. Also make sure your battery cables arent moving on the terminal they should be tight and you shouldnt be able to rotate them around the terminal by hand.

If the battery light 'was' flickering on and off and doing it randomly but none the less more often until it just stayed on: bad alternator.

Really sounds like the alternator, but depending on how corroded your terminals are I would get a scrubber and scrub it all away. But like I said, sounds like the alternator not putting out enough power. They're not too hard to change either.
