Overheating!!!!!!!!:(
My girlfriend has a 1990 Honda Civic 1.5L and the temperature gauge reads that it is overheating. I've changed a few things that i thought it could be, but it's still overheating. I really don't know a lot about honda's, so if someone could help that would be a real big help. Thanks
Thanks everyone for the input, it helped a lot, the cooling system needed to bled.

Sounds basic but check your coolant levels. If it isnt full then there is your problem. Also check to make sure the fan is turning on when the car heats up. Also if the coolant level is full you should bleed the coolant system. If there is air in the coolant system the air bubble will be super heated and when it hits the thermostat it will cause the gauge to read hotter than the coolant is.

IF the thermostat has been replaced and it still overheats check to see if the fan is working properly. It could also just be a faulty gauge or sender, you would have to hook up a mechanical gauge to check though.
