Clicking or light clunk sound from front end.
I have a 1993 Civic LX. I'm getting a clunking sound from the front drivers side wheel area. It was thought possibly to be a CV joint wearing out when I had it into the garage a few months back. It wasn't making the sound the day it got checked though, so they left it as is. They said it will probably get worse, and then to bring it back. However, it only makes the sound once in a while, and usually won't last that long. As far as I can tell, most of the time, it happens when it's raining or there's water on the road. The last couple days here it has been raining steadily, and on my way home today it was making it again. However also, if I apply the brakes at any time, the sound stops. When it wants to make the sound, it's usually when I turn slightly to the right. Also, when it makes the sound, it doesn't matter what speed I'm going at, however the sound will be faster depending on speed. I had the car inspected last month with no problems at all, and the boots and everything are in good condition. Any ideas? Thanks.
