'04 EX-L - Brake problems
Hello,
I have a 2004 Accord EX Sedan, 4 cylinder - 62,000 miles. When I first bought the car the rear rotors were warped and I had to have them replaced, alond with new pads. The next summer the following problem began. When the brakes are heated up, and I depress the brake peddle at slow speeds, while coming to a stop (say under 20 mph), there is a grinding noise that comes from the front rotors/pads. It kind of sounds like when pebbles are caught in-between the rotor and pads...The service technicians at the dealership have heard this same noise as well....Upon inspection, there were no pebbles or anything else that would cause that noise. Their solution was to resurfaced the front rotors and replace the pads. I paid for was the pads...The grinding noise went away for about a week, then it came back. They have resurfaced the front rotors twice now (with new pads each time) and I still get the same grinding noise. They assure me that the brakes are working properly. Regardless, the noise is bothersome and sounds horrible.
Does anyone have this same problem? If so, what is the cause and solution?
I would like to say that I love Honda cars and this is my third one to date....They all have had little quirks along the way (which is normal), but this is the first time that I have had brake issues where I have had to return to the dealer several times for the same problem..
Thank you for any advice and or replies..
