i have a 94 ls new LS motor with a used rebuild Tranny ( car is Auto)

everytime my car goes into third it makes htis weird noise i think its coming from the tranny its like is something is lose and its hitting something cling cling cling type of noise only in third could that be from the tranny or axle i just replaced my right one imma go replace my left one probably tomorrow ??

please help me out i neeed to know what it is im broke atm so i can start to save up m,oney

Unfortunately, I don't know what the problem is but I can give some ideas.

If it only happens in 3rd, and always happens in 3rd, then I would think it has to be the tranny, since the axle doesn't care what gear its in, just the rotational speed. However, pay close attention because maybe you kept using 3rd every time you did something else. The axle will make a clicking noise during turns when it is wearing out. My other idea is the axle spline length is not correct and it is hitting something in the tranny. I saw this on a 1st gen Integra. The axle was a pain in the a@@ to get out because the end had mushroomed.

 

yeah i was told by the shop to change my axle first on my driverside they guy said that its going in and out while in motion it makes no clicking noise i just cahnged my passenger side one i hope that works if not imm ahave to save up for a new tranny posted on the marketplace seems like noone has one atm
