Default Si tranny- 35mm or 40mm?

I have a 91 Si tranny and am confused if it has 35mm or 40mm bearings for a LSD.
On sites selling quaife LSD they state 88-89 SI 40mm and 90-91 SI 35mm.

I did some searching and someone said that quaife was wrong and all SI trannies had 40mm and the hf dx trannies had 35mm.

Anyone clear this up for me?

I am looking to buy a used one that is in a 95 d tranny and need to know if it will fit in my 91 SI tranny

Quaife is correct - 88-89 Si has 40mm differential bearings - all the rest, 88-91 DX, 88-91 HF and 90-91 Si have the 35mm differential bearings

I had the exact same issue when I was ordering my Quaife. All the '91 Si trannies I have ever seen have been 40mm. Perhaps the Canadian ones all got 40mm and the US ones were 35mm? I don't know the answer, best thing to do is pop and axle out and physically measure the bearing with calipers (that's what I did to be sure).

i tried to measure the bearing but i wasn't sure what to measure. the axle seal was in the way and i couldn't get it off. I don't know what the bearing looks like.
i am a noob with transmissions.
