2001 type-r ecu in a 99 si?
yet another civic
I tried using a 2000 ITR ecu in mine that had the imobilizer taken out, all the other stuff that needed to be done, but I couldn't get it to work, everytime I tried to crank it over, the radiator fan would turn on, but the motor wouldn't start.

you want to tell me that the HLDI is wrong in its census?
You just can't assume that it's stolen right away, especially if you don't know the guy, for all you know it could be a legit motor that he bought with his hard earned cash. Not all Civic/hybrid owners are theives. Body shops steal cars too! Friend of mine that works at a body shop told me that some body shops buy stolen parts so that they can pocket most of the money on repairs. Stolen parts cost a whole lot cheaper than buying new parts.
I feel your pain man! I had my last car stolen right in my driveway, I even heard it drive off, found it a week later, nearly stripped.

i don't have my helms on me but the . i think the type r fuel relay pin is a15 and the si is a14 and then she will start up , but the idle is a little messed up theres 2 or 3 pins that need to be moved for that . as soon as i get my helms . i'll post
Seriously dude, you are directing your anger at the wrong people.
If only you could have harnessed this anger and directed it at the guys you were watching steal your car, you might had scared em off. But hey, coulda shoulda ain't gonna help and either is calling every hybrid you see a thief.
I am no theif and I would NEVER buy anything stolen. If I saw someone trying to steal your car or any car, I would split their wig in two. So don't think every hybrid owner is a thief. There are MANY people who are like me and BUY what the want LEGIT.

Arent the ITR/GSR/SI harness for 2000-2001 different than other Honda/Acura OBD-2 cars. THat might be the case for your 99 civic. I know my 2000 ITR ECU (iimobilzer removed) worked perfect in a friends 00 Civic SI

I moved A16 to A15 and it runs now, no CEL, but the it idles anywhere from 900-2500... Does anybody know which other wires i need to mover around? Also does the Helms manuel cover ECU pins, or do is it in the Electrical one?
Am doing this as well for ITR swap you need two parts to make the imobizer work so you dont have to take it out and have a cell all day.
Parts needed
1. Imobilizer transmitter thing Part# 39730-S04-G02
2. Blank ITR key(has transmitter in key for imobi)
After you install the the imobi thing to your ignition and strap the key to the imobi piece (note you will not be using the key to start car just to transmit to imobi) all you have to do is wire it to the ECU and to harness and you are all done and ready to go.
I dont know the prin outs or anything my mechanic is taking care of that but I will ask him and post it up later
