Default Comptech Sport Springs on 03 CL

For anyone considering upgrading your springs, here are a couple before/after picks of my new Comptech Sports.

The height looks great! I wish the front was slightly lower, so maybe it will settle a bit. I was getting tired of my car sitting with the nose way up off the ground like a 1967 Mustang. I guess the 6 speeds were a bit lighter so they sat even a bit higher in front than the 5AT.

I kept the stock struts for now. The car only has 27K miles, so we'll see how much life they have left. We did the whole project in my garage in about an hour and a half. My best friend is a Service Manager at Merecedes Benz (and did most of his training years ago at our local Honda dealer). Thanks, DC!

I've heard that every car is a little different when it comes to the rear camber issue. So far it doesn't look too bad. I plan on getting an alignment in about a month, so we'll find out the actual numbers...

If anyone has any questions about the install, feel free to PM me.

Scott

Do you have a system in your trunk?

If by system you mean a 3-ton jack, then, yes, it's in the trunk.

After measuring the rear was lowered about 1 1/2" and the front 1 13/16".
