Default Factory motor possiblilities

I have just purchased a 91 honda accord coupe 5spd for 300 bucks. It has no motor. I am new to the honda scene, so don't know exactly how or where to look. What I am asking is will the sohc vtec from the 94-97 and the 2.3 sohc vtec from 98-02 fit in a 91 accord? I don't want to get flamed if this has been covered, but i did try to search and the only swap info i could find was for the h22, and the sohc vtec head conversion. Any info will be a great help.

Thanks Dennis

a 91 should have no problems swapping in at least the 5th gen motor (f22) I would imagine the f23 (correct me if i'm wrong someone) from the 6th gen will fit in there as well

just my two cents, if you bought your car for 300 snaps with the money you saved why not slap in a h22.

i found a 5th gen sohc vtec for 125 on car-parts.com that is why i was asking. The other reason i was asking is that the motor mount on the front of the block is different on the 91 than on the 94-97, would that make a difference. The h22 swap i would love to do, but i don't that kind of money cuz its tied up in my eclipse v6 turbo, so the honda is just a daily driver so that i can finally get the eclipse done.

I would save up and do the H22 though.
