driving down the road. 94 ex. d16z6 stock. 44k miles. shift to 2nd. and the car bogs out. and dies. wont start. i now get no spark. can the dizzy just crap out like that?

 

wow a z6 with 44k? is that a rebuilt motor? or original? how about the dizzy? 44k or used? how many miles on it. check your spark plugs first. I'm guessing its the dizzy, my girls y8 did the same thing as yours and it was a bad dizzy...she had about 109k on the dizzy.

 

not sure. how many on dizzy... just pickid this motor up out of friends 92 cx. it was swapped in with 44k. motor was rebuilt overseass.... then later bought and shipped here i believe. so yea.... about 48 now i think. i grounded out the wires. no spark. grounded out the dizzy. no spark...so i figure coil or icm or scm....
