whats a good compression for a gsr motor???

Default whats a good compression for a gsr motor???

i just installed a gsr motor in my eg hatch and the compression read 210 across the board and the motor has around 90k on it... it seems like it has great compression! what did it come w/ from the factory and whats bad compresson... when it would start to smoke? THANKS

When is around 150 or lower, then start worrying

210 across the board is fine. With variences in normal cheapo compression testers you are mostly looking for numbers near each other. With 210 across the board, you are very healthy.

Im certain you are running on CTR pistons. My GSR was nowhere close to that compression. Mine was 150 all four. You may have a built bottom. I put CTR pistons and cams in my GSR and now my compression is around 210. So you made a very good buy. Also all pistons should be no more than 20 psi apart.
