Krylon vs VHT wrinkle paint
Yeah I messed up on the title
...I'm trying to find the closssset as possiable to OEM wrinkle for my valve cover. Post up your pictures and which brand you used, post specifics cuz I think there's more than one kind of wrinkle paint for each.

I'm testing the krylon on a few parts right now, and it looks just like the pic above.
how long does it take for this stuff to cure. It's sat for about a day, but I'm sure it's gonna take longer to harden.
I'll most likely switch to the VHT. I like the looks of it bettter, but wanted to try the krylon just to see.

I havent had experience with both, but VHT Red Wrinkle paint worked great for me.
It is very important to follow the directions on the pain can, you need to do heavy coats in a short amount of time and you hgave to put it in the oven for an hour at about i think 250 degrees, the oven tightens up the wrinkles. Good luck to everyone who tries it!

Well, i just finished my valve cover. I think it turned out pretty good. It's still gotta set a while, but I used a blow dryer between each coating and preheated the valve cover before the first coat. everything layed down good.
I'll be honest, I did screw up the first coat. So, I stripped the whole valve cover down, again. and redid it. I think I'm gettin the hang of it now.
here's a few pics.
