the other day when ireplaced the neg batt cable the alt or the batt only produced 10 volts when the car was on but when i turned on accessories it droped to 8 and died. i replaced the cable again thinking it was a bad ground cable the car still acted the exact same. when i turned the car off and unpluged my autometer gauges wiring and radar detector the car wouldnt even turn over. no crank, no fuel pump priming, fuel gauge doesnt work, right blinker light on the dash is light up. i charged the battery but it still dosent start. i was thinking it was the main relay or the ecu. can someone help me please

 

by the way its an 89 crx dx with a manual trans

 

did you try jump starting it? Did you check all your fuses?

 

yeah i checked all of them and i tried jumping it but nothing. ive seen on other posts that the main relay is the common problem but i dunno

 

i just checked the ecu and it blinks once then pauses then blinks twenty times. does that mean its code 20?

 

would the code 20 make my fuel pump not prime or turn on?

 

now when i open my passenger side door 3 dash lights come on even when the key isnt in the ignition. brake lights dont work, reverse lights dont work, and headlights wont work. could it just be a bad ground or somthing? i put a 2 gauge ground wire coming from the battery to the stock location on that holds the clutch cable.

 

ok i just tested the starter and its dead. does anyone know what would cause the no fuel pump priming or the lighs on the dash?
