this may be a dumb question, but can I? Is there a difference between LS and GSR spark plugs?

No there is no difference...they will work fine.

I put LS spark plugs into my friends d16z6 and works just fine

the ls uses a hotter plug. but other than that no difference.

yeah, dohc vtec motors use colder plugs for a reason. i wouldnt use em, but in a pinch it will work, just check em after a few miles to make sure you arent burning the electrodes off.
