Default ?Recommend a short shifter for a Civic?

Hey, need some advice for a short shifter for a 96-98 civic. I bought a short shifter but it keeps touching my exhaust pipe (3" pipe). Does any one know of any shifter that will fit right even with an exhaust system? How is the skunk2 shifter on a 96-98 civic (vs. B & M)??? Thanks...

I don't think the shifter is the problem. You may need to space the pivot mechanism up off the tunnel to give clearance on the exhaust at 3" but then you may have issues with the aligment of the linkage to the tranny.

You need to bend the hanger on the b-pipe so that it can sit lower and give the shifter some space
