Default D4 light is flashing????

I have a 94' honda accord EX with an H22A swap. we just put in the H22A ECU and it is throwing code 12 on and off still, the EGR sensor. but the new one is code 23 and i notice that when the cel comes on the D4 light(the light that tells you what gear you are in on the dash) is flashing my car is an auto tranny. Could anyone please help me figure why it is flashing and what code 23 is i read that it was something on the left knock sensor malfunction could someone help me out.

I had that happen on my 95 about 10k miles ago and it was some modual that sits on the outside of the tranny. cost 340 to get it changed.

Now it is doing it again. can it be bad again???????

no such animal as a code 23 for the trans control unit. That would be the D4 or 'S' lite flashes.
Code 23 for CEL flashes is a knock sensor code for the V-6
Here's a link for trans codes;
