For all you ITR guys that DD...
Just sitting here looking at new suspension for my R but I can't decide on what to get and/or what spring rate.
Do all you guys that daily drive like myself, what are you riding on, what spring rates, which springs? Pictures would be appreciated.
I'm currently on Koni yellows and Tein h-tech springs. It rides like stock which I love but it isn't low enough for me by far. I was looking at GC coil's or possibly another set of springs that would bring it down it little farther.

Mugen N1 coilovers, 16k front 14k rear
with the damping force turned up roughly 1/4, its very firm bot not bad on anything but the most harsh road
turn the dampers up and they are EPIC on track
worth every penny i spent on them

He has Koni yellows. Omnipower's are a downgrade IMO in terms of shocks.
If it is a daily driver though, you're going to have to make a compromise. I suppose you could daily drive a set of ground control coilovers with moderate springrates.
But as was mentioned, the lower you go the more issuses you're going to run into.

I'm not looking to slam it like I had my gsr. I just want it a little lower than what it is now, but with as close to the same ride quailty to what I have on the springs.

Mugen lowdowns. A little bouncy, ride not much worse than stock at the softest setting and only 3/4" lower than stock. Expensive if purchased new though.
Got any pics so we can tell you it's already low enough and stick with what you got.
How are the roads around you? And what is the use of the car, just DD?

Nice R
That black on is LOW. You are at a perfect DD height IMO.

That black ITR is too low for DD...it is approaching, dare I say...ricer-low.
My dedicated autox ITR isn't even that low. Wheel travel isn't over-rated, ya know.

I'd like to lower the front more than it is now. If I could take the wheel gap out in the front I would be happy. Since I have the Koni yellows, I'm thinking a GC coil. But which spring rates?
I am running GCs with Koni Yellows, and 450F, 550R spring rates. Lowered to 5.5" at the rail. Gives about a 3/4" gap front and rear. Just got the GC hats which will add back the 23mm of shock travel and not have to raise the car. awesome for track and autocross currently, but a little harsh on daily driving
Yeah, I'd say that your R is perfect height the way it is. That's my vote! If not, I agree that the TEIN Super Streets are a pretty good value for a street/auto-x combo. Had them on my GSR hatch a few years back (swapped out the GC/Koni combo for them) and really enjoyed them. Stock rates were just fine, but you can go stiffer by ordering springs from TEIN. I'd reccomend the pillowball mount versions.
