blows my mind! help!
i just recently put a b18b into my 94 hatch and what started as a little problem has turned into a huge problem and now my car isn't drivable. the motor itself is obd2 but has an obd1 alternater dizzy... the works... when i drive it constantly bogs out and my tach starts freakin out; hopping all over the place; randomly speedo too but rarely. my buddies car gsr in his crx had a similar problem and his was the igniter... thinkin mine shared the same problem i got another dizzy from a friend of mine. the problem was still there... got new spark plugs even though they didn't do **** for it... I was starting to think that possibly it's the alternater because the problem seems most evident under load i.e. going up hills pushing the gas more than like 20 percent throttle. but i took the alternator off my friends hatch with a ls in it too and no cigar... problem is still there. my car throws no CEL, my timing is dead on, tried about three different ecu's 2 p75 and one p28 no cigar with anything.... but there's random times during the drive where it's okay? i'm not new to the honda game but this one's really a curve ball... any logical ideas? or even insane idea's at this point that might help? thx
that little random misfiring/bog turned into a constant misfire/bog and now my car consantly dies when i try to drive
this is my only car i have to commute to work and school so the fix is a must. i love my honda but she's

might not be the igniter, it might be the crank angle sensor that's pop rivited into the distributor.
check your ground wires.
also, not sure on this one, but I had the same symptoms in another vehicle and it turned out to be the throttle position sensor.
