All B-series production headers (yes I can finally use it in a plural sense ) are all the same length.

It's the cat that is shorter, and the JDM midpipe is longer to compensate.

So JDM/USDM header + JDM cat + USDM B-pipe = midpipe is too short.

You will require a JDM midpipe.

Best legal thing to do is JDM header, custom cat, usdm exhaust It is a bolt in affair if you use a T1R tp but you'll pollute like a *****. Get a good aftermarket cat and get someone to weld up the correct flanges and O2 sensor bung.

Cost me $20 cash and had it done twice (2 different setups). Once was to make a test pipe that connected my stock 94CX downpipe to an aftermarket exhaust. The second time was to cut & lengthen the aftermarket exhaust to mate up to a JDM ITR cat. The guys obviously pocketed the money both times. Moral of the story, bring cash with you and it's cheap & easy...

PS: Call ahead & make sure they can squeeze you in...

I wouldn't worry about it. As long as it was welded good, it isn't gonna hurt the resale...

But what about this:

JDM 4-1 + JDM cat + USDM GSR cat back system of your choice

Will this combination work? I heard that the 94-99 GSR systems are longer to compensate for the shorter USDM GSR cats. Anyone tried this?

That should work for the 94-99 GSRs. In 2000, the GSR B pipe was change to match the length of the LS and ITR stuff.

JDM header is 5/8" - 3/4" longer than the USDM headers.

Thanks for the response, but this setup "JDM 4-1 + JDM cat + USDM GSR cat back system of your choice" will also work on a 97 ITR chassis....correct?
