Strange rattle..
While driving my car tonight i noticed a strange somewhat highpitched rattle on the car. This only happens during times when the suspension moves such as shifting and such.. What i can tell is,its definately coming from the passenger side, i cant tell if its from in the dash or the engine bay area but its one of the to. I guess im kind of throwing something out that could be a million different things, but if someone could point out some common things that would do this

that sounds weird .... what about if you bounce the car anything? ...maybe just lift the car check all the bolts with your suspension..while its up check the heat shields i know its nothing suspension related but it seems those thing are always a weird rattle noise problem good luck man BTW nice hatch
heat shield possably. But if ur so sure its from the passenger side and only when u shift and and bounce and what not, umm... i dont know what would make a high pitched rattle. something loose? maybe just have somebody push down on that side of the car a couple times when its parked and look in there 2 c if u can locate the problem.
Yeah, like i said i could located the noise to the passenger side,it was coming over the glovebox, dash or engine bay area. I will check the heat shield. I opened up the engine bay and gave everything a nice push to see if it was moving and everything seemed pretty steady (except the battery isnt real tight but thats how its always been). I did notice the fender wall underneath the plastic wasnt real secure but i didnt think it seemed to be the problem. I will have my friend help me check everything out tomorrow. This is puzzling me, i dont think it could be anything serious (trannies and such tend to make whistling noises and such when going bad) so i hope its not mechanical and just something stupid like a vent.
