Default Help needed -- 2001 Accord Radio code

I just changed the battery and found the radio was not working without activation codes. I brought the car from dealer 2 yrs ago but now the dealer is gone.
Can anyone help me with the codes? Appreciate for the assistance!!

Did your car come with the Accord manual? If it did the code may or may not be in there. You can also check inside of the glovebox to see if its printed on since I know some Integras were like that. You can also bring your car to a Honda dealer and they use your VIN# to look up the code. Not sure if they will charge you though.

Do not pay them if they ask for money to look up the code. Tell them they have shitty customer service and you'll get it for free elsewhere. Grab a phone book and call a few different Honda dealers, someone will give it to you at no cost.

If you hold the 1+6 button together and press your power button, you will get the serial number back on the screen. Take it to your local dealer and sweet talk him into giving you the code (All they have to do is enter your serial into a program and get the code for your radio instantly). There is one of them that will see you pick his card up and realize a free code might make you remember his name when you tell him you bought the car at XXXdealership and want a place you can transfer your service to. It worked for me but on my (03 Accord EX-L V6) 6-disc changer. Most dealers could give a rats *** about it. Leave it with them and call back to get it. Then he can get it when he gets the time and wont care to charge you. Let me know. Taking the radio out is actually a breeze to get it at very worst. Let me know...
