f20 prices and install
My friend has a 91 accord and his engine just bombed on him. He wants to keep the car and just swap in another engine. the thing is he dosn't have enough for an H22 swap nor dose he have the time to wait untill he has the money. I have heard about the JDM DOHC F20 but only by name and a few stats on it. I'm looking for more information (price, where to get it at, ease of install, dose it mate to the stock trany, can he use the stock ecu). If anybody can help with this that would be cool thanks.
last time i checked the there are only 2 f20 motors, one is for the s2k(f20c) and the other is for 90-93 jdm accord si (f20a)and if your friend cant afford an h22 i would greatly doubt the ability of finding and installing one of those motors. in my opinion you should stick with what eric recomends, its easy and there are plenty of good write ups on that kinda swap
There's 3 F20's
F20A - I've only seen one 3rd gen with this swap and he was from canada.
F20B
F20C
http://www.tigerjapanese.com has the F22B DOHC for $690. Shipping is pretty decent. I haven't come across the DOHC F20A.
