I'm trying to replace the speakers in the front doors, but when i pulled them out they were 6" speakers. crutchfield said use 6 1/2" so thats what i bought. and they won't fit, any ideas?

 

I fit 6.5 up front.
Why is it not fitting?
hole too small?

 

i have a 91 ex sedan and i dropped in polk db650s in the front. all i had to do was cut out the back of the oem plastic basket. sometimes all you need is a new adapter ring amde of wood/mdf...trace around the stock basket, cut the hole for the new speaker, done.

 

yah i'll end up cutting the back plastic. but the ring still seems a little big, i'ma try again after cutting , see what i come up with
