Default Boosting 94 si

Hey guys, quick question. In a 94 si, the h23, is 300-350 horse doo-able safely on stock internals and head? And also, for that power range, can anyone reccomend a turbo? Any ideas on a good turbo set up (intercooler, piping kit, BOV, wastegate) would help immensely, as this will be my first FI car.

My group of friends all build civics, and know alot about FI, but wanted to get a Luder's input on the best turbo for this specific application.

300hp is safe with a good tuner/ software. 280 is even safer.

my goal was 300hp on a stock block h23. I got to 242, before my tuner advised me not to take it anyhigher. That was a on small turbo though. t3/to4b at 10psi, ramhorn manifold, and 3inch dp. tuned on neptune.

What kind of ram horn manifold are you currently using? The thing you should be worried about is the piston lands usually go out before anything.

on a stock bottom end h23 i would not recommend going that high. that motor will not last more than a month or two. stick around 220 to 250 max on a low psi.

If you want your motor to last, you should upgrade it. Balanced crank, pistons, rods, valves and valvetrain.

You should know better.. you can't make generic statements like that when it comes to boost, Hondas, and tuning.

First of all, its the ringlands on the H22 that crack, not the H23. I don't think I've heard of H23 ringlands cracking.

Secondly, the H23 has a slightly lower CR, which will give you a little room on the power. I've seen anywhere from 230whp lasting 2 months to 320whp lasting a year and a half and still going on the H22. The H23 has just as much capability.

Do i have to worry about head damage on the stock 23? Or is it mainly the bottom i need to upgrade?
