Default Cost of a K series on an EK?

So im thinking about going K series.
But how much does is it going to cost me?

K20a2 for everything from HMO is $4,000 plus shipping and handling
K24 long block is $900.. plus everything else?? a lot?

But if i spend 4K on the K20a2..
What other parts do i have to buy?
mounts? fabrication?

Any information will help

thank you

Expect to pay about $7000 - $10000 installed, parts and labor.

yep, better start looking at other options

and stop reading "tuner" magazines and the appearance forum.

Or you could just get a credit card and let the desire of a "dope car" screw up your credit.

Learning is for suckers, Credit cards are for winners

Get the proven equation if your low on flow. The amount of money tossed into a B series swap is not as bad and as for the money that you had originally planned for the K series swap can go into the B series for a faster set-up. Do your homework and all is possible.

I'm into my K swap for about $1800 right now and I have engine, tranny, shifter cables, conversion harness, and hybrid clutch line.

I still need to get mounts, header, intake, fuel lines, k-pro, shifter, etc etc etc.

When mine is done and installed I'll have maybe $5000 into it. Then comes the fun part of building the engine for 250whp +

Theres alot of K series out there. If you want a simple whatever K series you could probably get away with 6k on parts, if you want a fully built K series youll see that 12k price tag for parts. Labor not included.

all you got to do is just boost a stock k20 and you can be around the 400 whp range! just buy the full race kit!!!

7k for 220 hp is worth it. *rolls eyes.

But hey, it's reliable.

300whp turbo D's with a close ratio LSD trans and reliability = $2000 invested.

~$5000 for bling and reliability, it's worth it *rolls eyes

If you're a college student and have to make ends meet, I'll give you a valuable piece of advice:

Stop modifying your car.
