Default My JDM DC2 in the UK

Thought I might aswell turn this post into the story of my car to date as ive not posted it on here yet. Hope you like what i've done

I've only had it a short time but in that time its changed a bit so i thought i'd show it off

It started off like this:

It was sitting quite high, had a naff kit on and an exhaust that wasn't quite noisey enough for me so i set about making a few changes as soon as i got it home

First jobs were to drop it a bit and get rid of the side skirts (i wanted rid of the front bumper but didn't have a replacement at the time) I couldn't go as low as i wanted because the front bumper caught on everything when i did

It then sat like this:

Next up was a trip to scotland to see the Fallon's, Clanny, Wedgie and Ronnie stopping off at Nominous's house on the way. The main purpose of the trip was to swap exhausts with John as the Kakimoto was annoying his mrs's parents I also picked up a J's racing carbon intake and an S2000 gauge cluster off clanny. Oh and i got a set of 285mm discs with Hi Spec 4 pots off Dave

The exhaust went from this:

to this:

And the intake:

I also got an aluminium Koyo rad off John which is being repaired at the moment:

And not to forget:

It was now getting close to being the car i pictured when i bought it but still needed a few changes. The first was the Regamaster alloys. One of them was really badly kerbed when i got the car and after getting a couple of quotes to refurbish the wheels i decided it wasn't cost effective so i took Julian at rarerims up on an offer he'd made to me.

It then looked like this:

They are 16" Rota Slips wrapped in 205-45-16 Yokohama parada spec 2's

Next up was getting rid of the front bumper. I bought a bumper off Japperformanceparts.com and modified it slightly before sending it off to my mates to be re-sprayed. A bit of black mesh later and the front of the car was complete:

Well it was complete barring a set of HiD's

After fitting the bumper i decided the car could go a little lower so i went round measuring all the gaps between the tyre's and the arches and lowered the car so it sat at the same height all round and thats how it sits now:

And can you say LOW!

Cleaned a few of our cars today including my ITR and my Civic GT.

The civic is nearing the end of a full bare shell rebuild thats been dragging on since september 2005

Here's the pics:

Don't believe the badge
Just bought some new bits for my JDM ITR and thought i'd share some pics with everyone

Before the new mods it looked like this:

The spec then was:

Exterior:
Modified and meshed front bumper
Standard front lip
Standard skirts and back bumper
All stickers removed
Funky JDM tilt number plate bracket

Interior:
Standard red Recaro's
Standard rear seats
Momo corse 320mm steering wheel
Alpine MD head unit with 6 disc changer
Alpine DDR speakers front and rear
Field style Vtec controller

Engine:
B18C JDM Type R
8mm Leads
Genuine J's Racing Carbon Slug
Mugen 4-1 manifold
Kakimoto full exhaust (John f's old system)
HID's

Chassis:
HKS coilovers with pillowball top mounts
Standard front upper strut brace
Tanabe front lower strut brace
Cusco rear upper strut brace
Standard rear lower strut brace
16" Rota Slips with 205-45-16 Parada spec 2's
Hi Spec 4 pots with red stuff pads and 285mm discs
Standard rear brakes with uprated JDM pads
Braided hoses all round
Lightweigh wheel nuts

The new bits ive just bought are:

15" Sprint Hart CP-F's with Yokohama Parada Spec 2 tyres
5zigen Proracer catback
And i swapped my red recaro's for some black ones

Here's the pics:

The rest of them can be found HERE

Hope you like em guys and gals

Beautiful! Love the wheel / tire combo. Must be nice to have those kind of roads around.

Very clean, the bottom of that old exhaust must have been scraped to hell, hella low bro.

The brakes are one of the best mods i've done and can be got from http://www.hispecmotorsport.co.uk The product is brilliant but the service from the company is far from it.

The old exhaust didn't catch anywhere due to me setting the HKS coilovers up to accomodate it

Thanks for the great comments guys
