Ebay rotors
which one is better to get drilled/slotted rotors or just slotted? I am buying one from ebay and still confused which one is better. Some say drilled are not good and prone to warp easy. Need advice!
well i got drilled/slotted rotors off ebay and ive had em on my car for like 2 yrs now and they are fine... that is also my daily driver. I have heard the same thing though, I think if you constantly use your brakes like if you live in the city or sit in heavy traffic all the time then I would get just slotted... otherwise you should be fine.
Blank rotors are the best. Even Porsche and Ferrari admit that drilled/slotted rotors have no performance advantage, they just sell more cars.
Modern brake pads dont create gasses that need to be vented.

Ive bought mine, drilled and slotted off of ebay for 160$ shipped. Ive had them over a year and a half, and really put them to the test ive, and they have still to this day not warped or cracked.

Actually they do make differences.....just not like u would think. Both styles are more meant for the track, and while both will help reduce breaking tempratures, they both reduce suface area which is huge for braking.....hence why u upgrade to a bigger rotor and caliper when u are really upgrading ur brake system.
I have read and heard that slotted rotors are meant for very heavy/constant breaking, and the slots actually work as a razor to remove a small amount of the brake pad,to minimize pad glazing, and give a nice new pad surface for every corner.
If u want a cooler look and cooler brake temps, than get them, but If u want to make a difference in ur braking perfomance I would suggest a good set of pads and steel braided brake lines. They are the 1st,and the most cost effective step in a more reponsive, reliable breaking system.Or if u can afford it bigger calipers paired with bigger rotors will make the biggest difference.Good luck

thanks guys for your input. I think im going to get drilled/slotted rotors it's only 160 anyway. Im not looking for high performance brake system. I agree drilled/slotted looks cooler. I believe that all rotors get warped when they get worn. I have my oem warped right now so i need them replace really bad.
thanks again.
thanks again.
i say if ur going to go ebay for rotors do not get any generic cross drilled ones. they will crack after a while, better to go with a name brand like powerslot or brembo and be safe. also cross drilled is only best for very hard braking, like for track cars on a street car, non crossdrilled and non slotted is better and pair them with some good pads and ur good to go.
