I'm finally selling my Trans Am. I just got married and can't afford two project cars at the same time. She's in great conditon for an un-restored car of this age.
the seats are a bit weathered from age but no tears. The carpet and head liner were replaced @ 6 years ago. It has a th350 tranny with a 3800stall B&M torque converter. The tranny was rebuild @ 6 years ago and has been parked for over 4 years. It has dual exhaust with 3-1/2 tips also installed @ 6 years ago. The car has a little less than 150,xxx miles. It has a posi traction rear end and 3.73 gears.
Most of the plastic around back window of the car will have to be replaced, it has gotten weathered and brittle over the years.
This car has an old 403 engine in it. It is orginal but when it was parked water had gotten into the cylinders thru the shaker hood scoop so it is not running now. I have a 74 pontiac 400 (needs to be built) that has been checked by a machine shop for cracks. Pontaic blocks are know for cracking on the top of the block. The block was hot tanked, magnafluxed and the crank turned but has been sitting for years so it will need to be hot tanked again. I also have heads for this block from a 72 pontiac 455, they too have been checked by a machine shop and are in good condition.
I hate to let this car go, I purchased it in high school. However due to gas prices I had to park her and she has sat for years. We had an ice storm several years ago when I lived in an apartment complex and a small tree limb fell down and cracked the corner portion of the rear spoiler. Other than that the only blimish other than there is no clear coat on the paint is a basket ball sized spot on the hood of some surface rust due to cracked paint. This car was purchased and has spent it's entire life here in the upstate of SC. It's virtually rust free with the exception of the hood. The frame and chassis are in great shape. It has a/c, power steering, cruise controll and poser windows.
The price is 2,500 firm. If your interested I'll be more than glad to post up more pics or show you the car in person.

the bird came on the hood as early as 73 if I remember correctly and up until 81 when they switched body styles.
However 79-81 were all the same basic bird just different color schemes. The previous fir birds looked different
