Is it possible to blow out AC while racing?

Is it possible to blow out AC while racing. True that you have to turn it off?

on most cars ac system turns off under high engine loads, example racing, going up a steep hill.

You get more power with it off. And the condensation that drips from the car when it is on can get the track wet. It will not blow up though. Well I've never heard of that anyways.
