Default Noise from tranny when turning left...

Ok, I tried searching for anything that was related to the problem I have but everybody keeps saying its a cv joint and what not and I dont think that I have that problem...

Well I just put a y8 tranny on my z6 block and as soon as I crank it up there is a loud clicking from the tranny, I press in the clutch and it stops then release and it stars again....So I take it for a spin and everything is in perfect working order all gear feels good and nothing feels wrong (cept for these gears feeling longer than z6 gears) but when I turn the steering wheel left the clicking gets louder and when I turn right or drive straight it stops...and now when I go in neutral its stops aswell.

Its only does it when I turn left, even a lil bit. Any idea what it could be? And if it helps any I also replaced the passenger side ball joint...could possibly be a issue aswell?

check all the steering components, the noise might not be coming from the tranny.

The only reason im %99 sure that it is tranny or even axle related is because the noise only stoped when I pressed in the clutch. I dont think steering is effected by then clutch. =p

Trannys dont make noises from turning.. sounds like axles to me. Good chance your CV-joints are worn or shot.

Chances are it is the axle, since it is only clicking when you turn. Is it seated into the tranny properly, is the 32mm axle nut tight enough? My guess would be the axle.
