late 70's Honda Goldwing

How about you clean that **** up first before building an engine. One goober of oil/crud falls onto a bearing surface as you are installing a cap, torque it down, start turning over the engine and score that bearing surface all to ****. Go.you!

Did you even hone the cylinder bores? You really shoulda hot tanked that block before installing the pistons.

Lol. Tuna knows.

Yeah, I seriously slapped a block together like that.

They came out of a 1970 Yamaha XS 650. I was disassembling the block to check it out and had these laying around. They looked to be about the right size so I slipped them into the bores and they fit perfectly.

Pretty much done for a WTF factor.

Lol. I did check out a few things while out in the garage today for the curious.

Yeah the bore may fit beautifully but nothing else about the pistons will work.

The dome is so high that it would contact the spark plug before it reached TDC.

The compression distance is too tall as well.

Do you meen dome height or piston to deck height?

No such thing as compression distance.
