What's up with numerous bent/cracked 3-peice wheels??

What's up with numerous bent/cracked 3-peice wheels??
I've noticed over time that alot of the 3-pc. wheels... (ssr gpo, racing hart type c/c2, ect.) that you see for sale have been cracked or repaired at some point in time... what flaws do wheels such as these come from the factory with? is there a recall on any?

never heard of any recall on any of the rims mentioned. . . a crack/tear can occur on any type of rim...period
if you are picky and/or swayed by this then just buy BRAND NEW rims only

very true... maybe some of the metals that are used just have very weak tolerances...
