d16y8 swap turbo'd need some info
hey just did a swap 98 d16y8 into a 99 dx civic and i'm setting up boost got everything in couple problems
first my tack does not work anymore ? is there a different wire it should be on now that i've switch to obd2a ?
second it seems that my car is not charging the battery ? yes the altinator is fine and yes the battery is good and all the wires are there and the belt is tight i think it has something to do with the ecu change and the convertion harness any info ??
third if im hearing the car predetinating do i advance the timing?
any info will be greatly appreciated thanks!!

retard the timing, be sure to use the service connector under pass. dash.
as far as using a obd2b as opposed to A, i don't think you should be having any VSS issues. check the VSS plug for any stretched pieces.
Check all your fuses for the ALT

chassis->engine => obd2b->obd2a harness needed. the pinouts are different.

i found the voltage problem come to find out the wire came unclipped from the starter i thought there wasn't enough power so thats fixed
now how do i retard the timing from under the dash ? cant i just turn the dizzy back a little ?

well yeah, but you have to bridge the service connector under the dash b4 you retard the timing by the dizzy, or you ecu will try to compensate
