Default Differences between 96 engine and 90-93?

Anyone know what the difference is between the two. I can get a 96 for a good price and I need one in a 90. I'm thinking the intake is different and the block / head are the same.

This is going into an 90 LX model. I thought only the EX had the dual runners?
