change tranny fluid ???
i ahve a 98 prelude (h22) with a manuel transmission, how should i fill my tranny, plus there is a hole maby 1 sq. in. on the front of the motor whats that there for , also what kind and how much tranny fluid / oil should i use thx.
on the lower passenger side of the tranny theres a plug that takes a 3/8 drive ratchet to loosen, thats the drain plug. about 3 inches above it theres another plug, it takes a 17mm socket iirc, and thats the fill plug. drive the car until its up to temp, then drain the fluid. It takes about 2 quarts to fill. if the car is on level ground, fill it until it overflows out the fill hole.
I'll take a guess and say that the plug on the front of the block youre talking about is just a water plug.

1 square inch hole is probably the tranny timing hole...its there so that you can view the timing marks on your flywheel when setting the ignition timing...
