hooking up auto-meter water temp,Q on wiring

im sure someone else here is running the auto-meter water temp gauge.the kind with the sender you run a wire to.
Question is,anyone know which 3 wires go to what on the back of the gauge?
theres the bulb,know that,and 3 connection,1 for power,1 for ground,and 1 for the sender,anyone know which one is which?
i lost the instructions,and the auto-meter site has directions but i cant find one for this specific gauge.heres a crude pic of what im workin with:

****,i went by some other diagram for a different gauge,but same type of setup of the auto meter site,if its hooked up wrong in the 3 spots,will it ruin it?i cant tell cause theres no motor in the car and no battery yet.

well if theres no battery and no power then no. Just hook it up the right way according to the instructions i linked above. You should be fine.
