How to reset maintenance light on 2002 civic sedan?

Ok, have key out of ignition, hold the odometer reset button coming out of the cluster, now insert the key and turn to the on position but dont start the car, now hold that for 10 sec. until the light goes out, while still holding the button turn the key back to off, and thats how its done
