c.VHT's nite shade translucent spray paint for taillights u can find thins on ebay but it more expensive that way given that ebay sellers are crooks...that shoud be ur last resource u can do wut i did and go here http://www.vhtpaint.com/products/sfID1/7/sfID2/34 click on dealers and find sumewhere to buy this stuff near u ....should be like $8-$10

d.soap and water
e.windex
f.spray paint clear that should be easy to find i found it at pet boy's like $5

after u finish ur lights should be cloudy when dry

Step 3: clean ur lights up wit that soap and water and then dry em off
Step 4: spray ur windex on them bad boys and clear em like ur cleanin sum windows
Step 5: for this step make sure all is clean and dry if u dont u'll be sorry...start ur first coat of the nite shade paint..... make it thin and even

after that let it set for a while dont be in a rush or u'll mess **** up...it should look like this...

after it set and not too wet start ur second coat 2 coats is most likely all ur'll need thats all i put..should look like this....

now let that set
Step 6: after ur nite shade is dry start ur first clear coat ....apply ur clear in the same fashon as ur tint coat nice and even and thin....let that set a while then put ur second coat nice and evenly and it should be enough ur finished product should look sum what like this ....

a mod like this even makes this **** look good

Were talking about a guy who didnt know what, and where a spare tire was!!! He had NO idea how to take the lugs off!!! So there I go in the middle of the night to take them off and put the spare on. I had to drive almost 20 min away to fix his flat!!! Pissed the shnittle out of me!!! And to top it off HE GOES THE NEXT WEEK TO GET HIS TAILIGHTS REPAINTED BLACK!!!

Depending on where you live, its not technically illegal. Inorder for tails light to be DOT approved, in sunlight you have to be able to see a red tint so that the car behind you knows where you tail lights are. You also have to be able to see red when you shine a flash light on the tails at light. So if you put on a ton of coats so that all you see is black, then it is probably illegal. If you just put like two light coats on, you're probably ok.
My friend got out of a ticket for the exact same thing because he asked the cop what the restrictions where on the tail lights. The cop told him exactly what I just said and then my friend asked him to show him where he was in violation. The cop then just kinda back tracked and told him to lighten the tails back to red a little bit and let him go with a warning.
Long story, but depending on where you live, you can do it legally. I think it looks like poop, but to each his own.

if his car wasn't so shitty looking and had some color other than a horrible primer and there was different pictures of different angles then id fathom the thought of doing it, but till then....
