I bought a carbon fiber hood for my teg yesterday and can't tell if it is made by VIS. I can only tell you the fitment is good, there is a prop for the hood, It uses theOEM skeleton (although is only glued to hood in certain spots), The edges are round and not rough, Maybe this is the clue but there is a Yellow sticker with japense writing with 94 Int. next to it. It is like a 2x4 inch sticker.

My only problem is when I push down on the hood(closed) it is pretty flimsy?
Is this Normal?

It's flimsy because it is thin and light. VIS makes pretty good CF hoods. As long as you are happy with yours, that's all that matters.

 

i have a vis and its flimsy as hell
but it lines up fine and my pins hold it down fine

 

I had the VIS hood. From my experience, it did not allign right and needed to cut a little on the hinge side. They had the washer nozzle holes. Also, it cracked with falling icicle from trees..........that's how i got rid of it.........
